Peter Vesterbacka to Startups: “You Cannot Solve Problems Alone, You Need To Meet People”

Tribe+ last week created some memorable moments for the participants and left energetic startups ambitious vibes. At first, the cozy environment was packed with 120 participants with more than 60% are startups and investors. We started by excitingly announcing the big comeback of Stream Startup Festival 2019 this October with new opportunities for collaboration, bringing the power of communities together! After that, the networking session took place with energetic and passionate vibes from all participants. We sum up all 5 valuable things that Tribe+ could provide you:

1. Ambition

After the brief networking session at the beginning, Peter Vesterbacka shared FinEst Bay Area and Greater Bay Area activities. He is ambitious about Finland as a “Growth Hacking” nation. He managed to bring the strong ambitious vibe, the “can-do” attitude to all startups presenting there at the event. The project FinEst Bay Area aims to create more opportunities for skilled international workers into Finland. He also announced the trip planned for Greater Bay Area Gathering in early August 2019!

“Believe you can, and you can do it”.

2. Valuable advices

Besides interesting details on the FinEst Bay Area project, Peter Vesterbacka also shared with startups some valuable pieces of advice on how to attract potential investors. The answer lies in that the outcomes should meet up with the expect on investment of the investors. If it happened to be a good business with proper statistics as solid back-up, you can prove the good return on investment, which is what your potential investors want.

3. Access to new business ideas

After Peter Vesterbacka’s presentations, startups have a chance to meet a great reality technology company, called iDress. By applying modern technology such as fitting effect, the company provides customers with one of the most unique shopping experiences in clothing retail industry. Customers can see themselves in the outfit without the need of trying them on. Furthermore, the afterwards networking session helped connect startups and investors.

4. Make your startups standout

The interesting part during Tribe+ is when startups were given around 30 seconds to give a brief introduction about their startups and products they offer. This challenge has helped startups make themselves more visible and impressive in the eyes of investors with unique startups products or services in various fields: education, gaming, and so on.

5. Meet with potential investors

The event continued with networking session. As Peter mentioned that there is no problem in the world that can be solved by a mere individual. You will always need to meet people and work with them to solve problems together. Thus, participating in events such as Stream, Slush helps startups get practical support, useful insights, and chances to meet up with new people and get problems solved.
